Sing Wild Kinship

New this spring, SING WILD KINSHIP is an outdoor ADULT singing session in South Devon prioritising the felt experience of collective singing above and beyond a sense of performance and polish. I consider it a kind of 'UNCHOIR'!

I'm interested in  what it is to be a chorus of humans within an ecosystem, heard and noticed by the wild ones we're among, reciprocally bringing our awe and attention to the organisms with whom we share space.
This is about gathering people to spend time in wonder in the woods, savouring seasonal shifts and immersing in song.

Though we'll spend focused time developing songs with some rigour, exploring harmony, polyphony and rounds, you don't have to be a confident or experienced singer, this is about that subtle magic of raising our voices, listening, honouring ecosystems and cultivating community.
I have a repertoire of original songs written for this purpose and will bring arrangements of other's songs resonant to the intention of the sessions.

There'll be a Sunday afternoon offering roughly every six weeks in line with the Celtic festivals, alongside a weekly Thursday evening session, all of which can be booked individually.
We have a beautiful polytunnel to retreat to in harsh weather and sessions will be cancelled and reimbursed in dangerous conditions.
